Effective and efficient communication is critical to long lasting business partnerships and successful results. This is even more important when working across cultures and languages as teams do at Bleum. As a China based software outsourcing company most of our clients are US or Europe based; English is their working language. Therefore to minimize any potential miscommunication and reduce misunderstandings, we have an ‘English Only’ policy. From the moment staff enter the Bleum offices it is ‘English Only’; written and spoken all day, everyday and to everyone. This applies across all levels and all departments from the CEO to the receptionist.
More than this, we are committed to building confidence, knowledge and understanding of the English language and Western Culture and we want it to be fun. To bring it to life we implement a diverse range of activities including: English movie night on Thursday’s with free pizza and beer; daily English classes; Bleum’s very own English teacher; and English performance bonuses.
