Banking
A primary industry practice area for Bleum is banking and electronic payment, including credit and debit cards. Strong domain knowledge results from years of experience working with large U.S. credit card issuers, several of the world’s largest money center banks, including Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank and China UnionPay, China’s national credit card clearing network, and currently a U.S. credit card company. Specific application experience includes:

- Functions supported accessing/updating account information, customer service, funds transfer, and various transactions. Application layers included security, systems integration and business logic.

- Architected and rewrote PowerBuilder applications, converting to J2EE and reusable components for different departments. Back-end data restructured first followed by application development.

- Worked on CTI components for multiple applications and departments; provided production support for Geotel call routing tables, including business logic for cross selling.

- Credit card system managing customer acquisition life cycle focused on demographic analysis and market segment testing; retail banking system supporting campaign, lead and channel management and integrating different departments.

- Support for Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) across both batch and real-time databases representing gigabytes of data and cutting processing from 24 hours to 20 minutes using Ab Initio tool.

- For China national credit card processing network oversaw complete functional and load test program integrating processing switch, issuers and merchants; developing VisionPLUS test and development practice.
